Yosemite Sam Jr. Wins His Wings

Yosemite Sam's son won a Yomega Power Brain Wing
after competing in Yannarelli's talent show on May Day.
It wasn't so much his personality that grabbed the audience,
but his ability to Walk the Dog Around the Corner,
then end with a tangled-free four-loop Spaghetti
that caused an encore performance with a clean Break Away.
Out the door he went saying,
“I'm Riff Raff Sam Jr., the riffiest riff that ever riffed a raff, uhhuh.”

Suzanne Nielsen, a native of St. Paul, Minnesota, teaches writing at Metropolitan State University. Her next collection of poetry, Bending Spoons: A Leap of Faith, will be released in 2011.
