Volume 2 Number 1 • Spring 2010

Seth Steinbacher

Expiring on his cross
in dusty Calvary,
he gasps, “Why have you forsaken me?”

His chin falls forever upon his chest,
“Because I'm not real,” echoes
lightly off the dry rocks.

Seth Steinbacher lives in Philadelphia and hates it or loves it depending on the minute. He writes anything he can think of when he's not occupied with teaching college freshman how to get a better paying job than his.
